Judicial Education
Sir Dennis has devoted a lifetime to pioneering and championing innovation, judicial reform and efficiencies in court systems across the Commonwealth Caribbean. As Chief Justice of the ECSC, he made the Judicial Reform Programme a matter of high priority. In 1997, he launched the Judicial Education Institute as a Committee of the Chief Justice’s Office. He has been president of the Commonwealth Judicial Education Institute in Halifax, Canada since 2000.
Under his leadership as President the CCJ migrated to paperless court, the first in the Commonwealth Caribbean. ByronSmith is prepared to work with judiciaries across the Commonwealth to introduce sustainable techniques and best practices for efficient case management, judicial adjudication and court administration.
